POS ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Emn8 is an emerging-growth company with an eye toward process improvement.

He/she must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. He/she coordinates product management, software development, user interface development, QA and other departments to ensure process deliverables are met in a timely and complete manner. Drives processes across functions such that ultimately customer requirements are satisfied. The role of Project Manager at EMN8^® is of true leadership and is pivotal to the success of the business. EMN8^® product development methodology is moving to a product development cycle based on Agile principles that enable software development teams to self-manage themselves. Project manager is focused on collaborating with the teams and resolving bottlenecks to release quality software iteratively.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a high school degree and have worked in the computer industry for at least 2 years installing and maintaining computer/ POS systems. Problem solving and troubleshooting are two skills paramount to this position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Working knowledge of at least one of the following POS systems: Aloha/Radiant, Micros, Par, Compris, Xpient
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (XP, 2003)
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications
• Working knowledge of network protocols (NetBEUI, TCP/IP)
• Working knowledge of database applications such as MS SQL and MySQL a plus
• Working knowledge of XML/XSLT, VB and DOS batch file scripting
• Hands-on experience in PC installation and network setup
• Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
